Mike hit me up last week with two old tunes he'd discovered on a hard drive, uncertain what to do with them. I'm impressed with Caski's work because he shows that he's capable of producing music with different characters and flavours all combined into one tune!" It's nice how all the elements come back into the mix right after the second drop. That one sub-bass pattern right before the second drop is just too much. "The break sounds very interesting, the low-end takes over and more elements come back into the mix. There's a good variation in drum patterns, mostly with the trumpet in the mids – giving the tune an extra jazzy bounce. The kick sounds nice within the mix, quite low and not too poppy – the snare contains a nice sort of reverb effect, coming in at different intervals – impressive! The percussion is on point and I'm getting a bit of a tribal vibe through those low tom samples. Stoked to hear Caski use some great variations – real bass weight. ![]() "The drop is hard, especially the low-end flowing underneath. The beginning sounds quite mystical with the sample used, along with this beautiful trumpet sound – a great way of building up towards the first drop! "The intro of the track contains a lot of these old school-sounding percussive samples, giving 'Fire' an extra touch of originality.
